So guys! I found out a few days ago that I got accepted to go teach english in France! I have been placed in Creteil, a very historic part of the french government located 7.1 miles (or like 10 minutes) from the CENTER of Paris. All the advantages of a smaller town, with Paris right fucking there.
Needless to say I'm doing this. I'll probably post a longer entry later more completely discussing all my feelings on the whole thing, but honestly? I'm pretty goddamn ecstatic.

Well, I am home and pretty happy. Christmas trees tend to do that for me. If you are in or near the Chicago area in ANY way give me a call, chances that I want to see you are most extremely high. In general life has been delightful, almost to a scary degree.
And yay Golden Compass!

As always, despite the baddness that sometimes occurs through drama or more serious obstacles, now that Thanksgiving is upon me and I am actually giving consideration to everything that makes me so happy and everyone who is so exquisite good to me I am practically overflowing with joy. And having said that, I am very grateful to every single one of you and I hope you know it and I am SORRY I do not say it more. And also that I am so damn cheesy.

So guys I am sick. The doctor I went to spoke no English; my German was bad; I am not even sure I have th eright diagnosis or medication. Please send happy thought or prayers my way if you do hat kind of thing. It really sucks to be unwell in a foreign country.

I feel loads better than the last few times I posted. As far as I know my roomate is stillnot here but I am much more okay with that. I am in a morning language class taht I truthfully think is a bit too easy for me; I'm trying to decide what to do or not about that. My afternoon class, conversely, about film and media in Deutschland, is super hard and super interesting. I could probably write a whole 3 pages on that; suffice it to say I am being challenged in the best possible way.
I have discovered apple gellato, it is god. And you know I'm in germany because I just typed es ist gott before I even realiyed what I was doing.
Saw the operhaus here today it was realllly pretty. Later will probably go walk around the gorgeous gardens and eat more gellato. Have decided it doesn't matter how fat I am, as I will still be a wonderful person and that is clearly the important thing.

Okay, so admitting that I am occasionally very odd, am I the only one genuinely enjoying the heat?
I've attained such a fantabulous tan over the past 96 hours, it is glorious :)
Moving on! Do you know what doesn't sound like it would be good but in realiy is awesome? Mint Chocolate Chip Pop Tarts. I beyond urge you to check them out.
